The Premise
They have a dream…
Michael and Joy are rehearsing a show they dream of one day taking all the way to the Opera House.
Michael has ideas.
Michael has plans.
Michael likes knowing where things are going.
Joy… well… Joy has a Heart.
And apparently the Heart didn't receive Michael's rehearsal schedule.
Somewhere between control and intuition, wandering stories, unexpected magic, laughter and sacred sound…
The rehearsal becomes the play.
How much of our lives do we spend rehearsing for some future moment?
Successful enough. Ready enough. Loved enough. Healed enough.

Michael Bennett
Michael Bennett has spent more than 25 years making people laugh, think and occasionally wonder what on earth is going to happen next.
An award-winning inspirational entertainer, comedian, magician and author of Become a Mind Ninja, Michael has performed throughout Australia and internationally — from cruise ships around the world to Warner Bros. Movie World, where many knew him as the wonderfully unpredictable Mad Mike.
In 2006 he received the prestigious IAAPA Big "E" Award – Best Atmosphere/Street Performer.
Why does the monkey mind refuse to shut up? Can we become the master of our mind rather than its servant?
Today Michael combines comedy, storytelling, magic, music, philosophy and sacred sound to explore one wonderfully complicated subject:

Joy
Joy is the Heart of the journey. Warm, intuitive, playful, loving and beautifully authentic, she brings an emotional depth and grounded wisdom that perfectly counterbalances Michael's wonderfully unconventional Mind.
Where Michael wants to explain something… Joy often simply feels it.
Where Michael wants a plan… Joy reminds him that life occasionally has other ideas.
Her stories explore love, loss, feminine wisdom, intuition, vulnerability, courage and the extraordinary beauty hidden inside ordinary moments.

We call it a rehearsal…
Michael and Joy began with a dream. Not simply to create another show — but to create something alive.
Something where laughter, storytelling, magic, sound, vulnerability and the audience's energy could all meet in the same room.
And perhaps one day that little rehearsal might find its way onto a very big stage.
But maybe the real dream isn't somewhere in the future.
Stop waiting until we're ready. Stop waiting until everything is perfect. Stop rehearsing for the day we're finally going to live.
